Fully charge your smartphone in just 8 minutes. Xiaomi Unveils 200-watt Wired and 120-watt Wireless Charging

Xiaomi continues to develop fast charging technology. This time, the company introduced a device with a record power of 200 watts, which allows you to charge a smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery up to 50% in 3 minutes and up to 100% in just 8 minutes.

The technology is called Hyper Charge. It was tested on a modified version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro smartphone, but in the future it may appear in all new smartphones.

Along with fast wired charging, the company introduced a new 120W wireless charging technology. It allows you to charge the same 4000 mAh battery up to 50% in 7 minutes and up to 100% in 15 minutes.

Xiaomi does not disclose the details of the operation of these fast charging technologies and does not share information about when something like this can be implemented in real devices and how much battery wear will increase along with it.
