Japan will send a robot transformer to the Moon

The 8-centimeter robot weighs only a quarter of a kilogram and it is not difficult to "throw" it to the moon

So far, little is known about the Japanese space robot-it is still under development. According to the images and data provided in the JAXA press release, the design is a sphere with a diameter of 80 mm, which should move on the lunar surface on two wheels.

"The transformable lunar robot will be ultra-compact and ultra-light, which will allow you to move in harsh lunar conditions," JAXA said. The tiny size of the robot and its small weight of 250 grams make it much easier to deliver it to the moon. Therefore, it is expected that such devices will be actively used in future lunar research missions.
